Figures and Forms an Invitational Exhibit Featuring Chirstophe Lima, Scott Ross, Kristen Tinari. This show is on display from the Opening Reception on September 11, 2020 through October 24, 2020
Christophe Lima uses a psychological theorem developed by Carl Jung called Shadow Work to examine the dark side of identity, humanity, femininity, and her environment. Her work is always gritty, honest, and emotionally driven. She understands that to live fully, to be full, we must, at times, gaze into the abyss. Christophe earned her BFA with Honors from The Fashion Institute of Technology. She shows work in the New York/Long Island area.
Scott Ross is a self-taught photographer, self-employed portrait and event photographer since 1975. His subject matter focuses on the female form.
Kristen Tinari always had a strong interest for color and discovery of her physical surroundings. Throughout her studies towards her BFA at the University of Delaware, she worked with a variety of mixed medias and explored the physical application of paint. A specific project, the macro vs. micro, sparked Kristen’s interest in the cellular form and research behind it. Intrigued by this topic, specifically autoimmune diseases she explores it in various forms of painting. Kristen’s work has been exhibited in group exhibitions in Wilmington, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Long Island. She was the receipt of the Lynn Sharp Award at the University of Delaware in 2013.
